Assisted Living providers are encountering more and more regulation from the state. Although providers are aware that fines and no admit orders are very costly, many feel they only affect a minority of the assisted living providers in Iowa. The reality is that every provider is affected by the increase in regulation. The cost of providing quality housing and care for our seniors has increased and profit margins are getting squeezed tighter each year. Senior Housing Consultants in cooperation with Senior Housing Management has developed an Operations and Health Services Review that focuses on both operations and health care documentation and practices. This review is performed monthly or quarterly and helps you to keep on top of the key issues state inspectors will be looking over during their visits to your community. Managers find our Health Services Review to be a very valuable tool that improves communication between staff and management, streamlines documentation and filing, and improves the overall efficiency of their Assisted Living community.
Once the review is completed, the manager will
receive a written assessment report with comments
regarding any deficiencies or corrections needed.
